I’ll admit I have only been here once, but once is all it took to not go back. The wait was ridiculous and the simple plate known as mac and cheese was way over priced. No Mac & Cheese should cost $12 and if it does you shouldn’t be waiting so long for it.

Just some hype thing because it’s just not worth it. I have no idea how they stay in business? My only thought is people wanting to add to the Yelp reviews to prove they went.
I guess if you have money to throw away on macaroni and cheese you can go here enough to keep them in business and destroy your arteries while doing it, go for it.
While I am pro gentrification I must say this place spearheading the over priced food rush sort of ticks me off. You can bring your mac and cheese to Oakland without gouging eyeballs out.
While I am not gluten free nor have I ever wanted to try it, when I see a place that charges $2 more for the option I know where their greedy mindsets are at. It can’t possibly cost $2 more for each customer. I say F your $12 mac and cheese. $4.99 is more like it.
Ok, so while I did just trash them to be fair it is really good for mac and cheese. If you want a long wait and some $10 Mac and Cheese, go for it. You can’t really find that anywhere else but Rudy’s Can’t Fail Cafe or Lukas.

Website I really like their website. I may even say they have the best website for a restaurant in Oakland.

I have passed by on many occasions, and saw the long line. I have also viewed there menu online. I considered my self a excellent mac n cheese cook, so THANK YOU fo your review. While I very rarely allow someone elses opinion to cloud my choices, I have noticed as of late that these restaurants that are popping up all over OAKTOWN, or being created specifically for the influx of transplants that have come here with the Tech Invasion.
P.S. Not for gentrification if what is does is continue to excluded those natives of the communities that it transforms.
