\nWho Is ATM?<\/strong>
\nATM is a group of house musically inclined DJ’s, promoters, producers, friends, dancers and fans. ATM is all of you.

\nEric Grove of ATM has hosted parties in his backyard since the days of yesteryear. I still remember our first kegger in the front yard back in the 1990’s. We didn’t have the internet to alert people of the upcoming party. We used payphones and sent messages to beepers. We all knew each other, we were all good friends. There was no house music, just BBQ and beer. Actually Eric would put his CD player on random so it was mostly good rap music. We couldn’t even go anywhere near the backyard because of the mean dog and the weeds taller than me(I’m 6’5). I grew up in this yard, watched the whole transformation from 2nd grade until now.<\/p>\n

Fast forward 20 years and Eric has taken over his once mothers house and personally transformed the desolate baron scary backyard into a musical paradise nestled in Oakland’s Dimond District off of Fruitvale Ave.

\nHe laid all of those bricks, the grass and planted the trees to bring to you not a venue, but an invitation into his personal space on rare occasions for parties such as the annual Backyard Boogie.<\/p>\n

I myself personally prefer the keggers days where people socialized without the loud music and everyone knew everyone and if they didn’t they were introduced. But alas it has bursted into a giant Las Vegas style day club and people are loving it. A lot of hard work has gone into it.<\/p>\n

This is a clean intimate spot with a hardwood dance floor, full restaurant and full bar!
\nThe kitchen and restaurant part of La Estrellita does close at 11pm so if you want to eat from the full menu you do have to come out early. But the bar stays open till 2am.<\/p>\n
