San Francisco LoveFest LoveParade Oct 4th 2008

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

YES!!!!!!!! It is that time of year again. If you have ever gone then you are as stoked as me about the upcoming LoveFest. it will be the best event you have attended all year(except for Burning Man of course). I have gone to Love Fest / Parade every year since the start and will never miss a year. This is the largest out door free electronic festival in Northern California and not to be missed.

Check out the official site here.
This is soooo where it’s at.
Do NOT miss out.

And don’t worry about the possible light showers Saturday. This is from the website.
“General information on San Francisco

The current forecast for Saturday, October 4th is a 30% chance of rain. Which also means a 70% chance of sun, and we like those odds. Either way we want you to know our event is rain or shine, and not even a little rain can rain on this parade. San Francisco’s weather is notoriously unpredictable, and it might rain at the airport, and be beautiful in the city center. So come dressed for anything, and use the occasion to bust out your hot faux fur outfits, and to show the world the our community is not the least but phased by a little rain!”

A documentary on Love Fest. Very good.

Oakland Art and Soul Festival 3 Day weekend

Monday, July 21st, 2008

Oakland Art & Soul FestivalThe Oakland Art & Soul Festival is coming up! I go every year and am looking forward to Zion I this year. I must admit it is becoming more expensive and having less talent that interest me, but it is still a local event worth checking out. It is sponsored by mainly Comcast so maybe that’s why it is changing? Lots of music, 3 days and plenty of local vendors.

The Crucible Fire and Arts Festival

Tonight is the last night of the Oakland Crucible’s Fire and Arts Festival. It takes place right next to West Oakland BART so it is very accessible. A night full of fire, art, insanity and great photo ops. Check it out, more info can be found here.
