As of right now we’re at 75 murders this year compared to 60 something homicides last year. We keep having these 5 murder weekends with drive by shootings all over. What has this city come to? Why are we trying to break records? Where is the OPD (Oakland Police Department)? Why are some of these happening in broad daylight? What can we do to stop the increasing crime rate? Questions, questions, questions. Answers?
I don’t know but it is a shame. I guess so far there hasn’t been too many innocent bystanders being murdered.. It seems to be a lot of gang and drug related activity. Which of course retaliations and murders will come from this lifestyle.
Here is a list of Oakland Crime Maps with up to date statistics and Police Reports for your neighborhood.

Did they get them? Or were they copy cats? I guess only time will tell. However the good news is they caught 3 suspects after robbing a nail shop on Bancroft. Which I must admit does seem out of the normal bandits target area. They stay out of the ghetto and go for bars and restaurants where they can get plenty of customers as well. This target was kind of hoodish and doesn’t seem like a high customer area at night.
I have compiled a list of all the known and reported victims below. As you can see their may even be two groups because a few days had several robberies and from all that I have read different descriptions of the robbers from clothes, to height to number of suspects.
I don’t think we’re in the clear just yet Mayor Ron Dellums. But then again this is only one reported rash of robberies, these kinds of crimes are happening all over and in number. OPD better get a move on it.

First I shall say that this post has nothing to do with the actual crime behind the riots. This is not about Oscar Grant or the BART Police officer who shot and or murdered him. People have reason to be outraged, but we have tons more reasons that effect us directly, have been largely ignored and going on for decades. I’m glad at least this got you guys together to speak up.

But I do I think last night was completely uncalled for.
Don’t get me wrong. I think we should have the right to assemble. But when people start breaking innocent business owners property, burning cars and hurting others… then you can not assemble.
Last night was like a sideshow without cars. Not a protest.
Most of the true protesters went home before all this started.
The kids or youth, whatever you want to call them started gathering and acting fools.
Seems they had a few ill minded ring leaders wearing mask acting as if they were genuine to the cause. I bet they were Provocateur Agents. White people in mask rioting? LOL Definition Agent Provocateur
Yeah sure, some of them could have been genuine and wanting to hide their identity from work or whatever. But read about these agents. They do exist.
We gotta remember, our very own government puts people into crowds to instigate this sort of situation.
If you have masses of people protesting in a peaceful manor then they really can not do anything. They WANT you to act up, they can’t wait for you to give them the green light so they can go in and break you up and discredit your peaceful intent with acts of violence.
So they throw some of these agents in to start the actions and then all the youngsters follow making YOU the protesters the bad guys.

Also…. FUCK THE POLICE? Yelling that over and over? Really? For one, BART Police was involved in this shooting, not Oakland Police. OPD is out there risking their lives so you can be safe. Because trust me, without them you would all be killing each other at much higher rates. This picture here shows a cop stuck doing something I’m sure he does not want to be part of. Because it is his job. To protect us. And last night we needed to be protected from idiots. Business owners are very thankful that the police were there to stop further damage from the “community”.
See what I’m saying here? Don’t fuck up your city cause a few insiders start it off. Stop them. Remain on a peaceful message. Control those around you, isolate the who-riders and let them know they are alone in committing their crimes. All this bullshit talk about “community” from angry “members” of the “black community” then you go destroy your own community. WTF?
What would Ron Dellums do?
Oakland is Proud. Act like it.

Oakland National Night Out 2009 Tuesday August 4th. Get together with your neighbors, stay out after dark, celebrate your neighbors in a safe fun matter.
National Night Out is the nation’s night out against crime. Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch, residents are encouraged to join with their neighbors to have a neighborhood block party, ice cream social or other outdoor event to build neighborhood spirit and unity – which is the first defense against crime. Research shows that when neighbors know each other and look out for each other crime goes down.
